For some years, it was common to use a grouted connection joint, between monopiles [MP] and connecting tubular steel transition pieces [TP].
In many cases, this grouted connection between the MP and TP has now been replaced by a flange solution secured by Dokka Fasteners HV bolts solution. Typically, HV bolts size M72.
Right now Dokka Fasteners are delivering M72 HV sets for Bilfinger Marine & Offshore Systems GmbH for the Sandbank Offshore Windpark built by Vattenfall and Stadtwerke München. The bolts will be fastening monopiles and transition pieces, instead of a grouted solution. The flange solution is secured with 114 M72 HV sets for each wind turbine, and the total delivery will be for 72 wind turbines.
We are producing HV M72 bolts on our new mega cell, which enable us to deliver high tensile bolting up to M100.
