Bladt Industries, the producer of transition pieces, and EEW SPC, monopiles, are building foundations for Veja Mate Offshore Wind Farm – and we are connecting the pieces with M72 HV fastener sets.
The MP are the heaviest ever produced with 1,302.5 tons, a diameter at 7.8 meters and a length at 82.2 meters. The TP is equally larger than usual, with a diameter up to 6.8 meters, a length at 22 meters and a weight at 350 tons. To keep the MP and TP together it requires high tensile fasteners, and we are proud to be chosen for the project.
The wind farm will consist of 67 wind turbines and will be able to produce more than 1.6 TWh of electricity when operational in 2018. That is electricity for about 400.000 households!
